Gastroenterology FAQs
Yes. You will be asked to avoid food for 6–8 hours and fluids for 2–4 hours before the procedure. Our team gives you written preparation instructions when your appointment is confirmed.
The procedure is performed with conscious sedation, so most patients feel only mild pressure and remember very little. You will rest for a short while afterwards and can go home the same day.
First consultations take 20–30 minutes so the doctor can take a full history and review any previous reports. Please bring earlier prescriptions, lab results and imaging films with you.
